An earthquake with magnitude 5.1 occurred yesterday evening in the south east of Spain. The epicenter of the quake was close to the city of Lorca with a population of more than 80’000 and caused several fatalities and the collapse of some buildings in the city.
Earthquake in Spain is not a covered peril in the CAT bond market, hence the event will not affect the portfolio of the Plenum CAT Bond Fund.
